Thank you for using Eavesong. This Privacy Policy explains what the app collects, who it is shared with, and what choices you have. It matches the App Privacy information we publish on the App Store listing for this app.

By accessing or using the application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. What Eavesong Does

Eavesong is an ambient wind-chime instrument. You tap the bells under the eaves and they sound; you can mix ambient layers, record short bell sequences, keep a daily verse, and set a sleep timer. The app shows advertising, and the sections below describe the data that advertising and attribution involve.

2. Data Collected and Used to Track You

The following categories are collected, are linked to your identity, and are used to track you — that is, they may be linked with data from other companies’ apps and websites for advertising or advertising measurement purposes. iOS asks for your permission before any of this tracking takes place (see section 5).

• Device ID — used for Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, Analytics, and App Functionality.
• Advertising Data — used for Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, and Analytics.
• User ID — used for Third-Party Advertising, Analytics, and App Functionality.

3. Data Collected but Not Used to Track You

These categories are collected but are not used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Linked to your identity:

• Coarse Location (approximate, city-level region derived by advertising partners; Eavesong never requests precise location and never asks for location permission) — Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, Analytics, App Functionality.
• Product Interaction (for example that an ad was shown or closed) — Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, Analytics, App Functionality.
• Performance Data — Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, Analytics, App Functionality.
• Crash Data — Third-Party Advertising, Analytics, App Functionality.
• Other Data (technical values the advertising SDKs report, such as SDK version and network type) — Third-Party Advertising, Analytics.

Not linked to your identity:

• Other Diagnostic Data — Third-Party Advertising, Developer’s Advertising or Marketing, Analytics, App Functionality.
• Other Usage Data — Third-Party Advertising, Analytics.

4. Who Receives This Data

Eavesong does not run its own servers and does not have accounts. The categories above are collected by two third-party SDKs embedded in the app:

• Adjust — mobile attribution and analytics. It records installs, app opens, and advertising revenue events so we can tell which marketing channel an install came from. Privacy policy: https://www.adjust.com/terms/privacy-policy/
• AppLovin MAX — advertising mediation. It selects which advertising network fills each ad slot and passes the request on to the advertising networks it mediates, which in this build include Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, InMobi/Fyber and Pangle. We do not sell your personal information.

5. App Tracking Transparency

The first time you open Eavesong, iOS shows the system tracking prompt asking whether Eavesong may track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

• If you allow it, the advertising SDKs may use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and the categories in section 2 may be used for tracking as described.
• If you ask the app not to track, the advertising identifier is not made available and that cross-app tracking does not happen. The app keeps working exactly the same — every bell, recording and setting remains available; you will simply see less relevant advertising.

You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6. What Stays on Your Device and Is Never Uploaded

The content you create in Eavesong is not part of any category listed above and is never transmitted anywhere. It is written only to this app’s own sandbox folder on your device:

• Your preferences (sound, haptics, reduced motion, chosen bell set, ambience and volume levels, sleep timer)
• The bell sequences you record, with the names you give them
• The daily verses you keep
• Motion readings — the accelerometer is read only while the breeze is switched on, is used solely to sway the bells on screen, and is never stored or sent anywhere

This data is not accessible to us or to any third party, and it is removed when you delete the app.

7. Your Choices

• Tracking — allow or refuse at the first-launch prompt, and change it later under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Recorded sequences — open the sequence list and delete any recording; the app asks you to confirm before removing it.
• Kept verses — tap a kept verse again to remove it from your collection.
• Everything at once — deleting the app removes its entire sandbox folder, including all preferences, recordings and kept verses.
• Advertising identifier — you can reset it under Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

8. Data Security

Content you create never leaves your device and is protected by the standard iOS app sandbox. Data sent to the SDKs named in section 4 is transmitted over encrypted connections and is then handled under those companies’ own security practices.

9. Children

Eavesong is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the advertising partners named above, contact us at the address below and we will help you raise the request with them.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or in the app. When the set of SDKs in the app changes, both this page and the App Privacy information on the App Store listing are updated together. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
